Celebrants of every kind, from every organisation
You do not need to belong to any particular body to come. If you write and lead ceremonies, or you support the people who do, this day is for you.
A day built around the work you actually do
The convention brings together more than a hundred celebrants from across the UK for one full day of talks, workshops, exhibition and conversation. Two rooms run in parallel, so you choose the sessions that fit your work rather than sitting through a fixed programme.
Some people come every year and know half the room. Plenty come on their own for the first time. Both are completely normal, and the day is deliberately arranged with enough breaks, coffee and exhibition time that nobody has to stand about on their own.
Independent, humanist, interfaith, civil and independent-trained celebrants are all welcome, as are trainees and anyone seriously considering the profession.

The convention is run by the Association of Independent Celebrants, the membership body for independent celebrants across the UK. If you are starting out, or looking for a community to belong to, the AOIC can point you to training, mentoring and membership.
